Curators list
Ellie Greig, jotta Curator
Head of jotta Contemporary and co-founder of Curatorial Collective Five Storey Projects, her curatorial experience includes curating group exhibitions at The David Roberts Art Foundation, The James Taylor Gallery and Virgin Atlantic amoung others. The ICA included her in their recent Nought to Sixty publication. She is also a practicing artist living and working in London.
Jane Trustram, jotta Head of Graphic Design
A finalist in UK Young Communications Entrepreneur 2009 by the British Council, co-founder of emerge, the original graphic design graduate showcase of the London Design Festival, and jotta Head of Graphic Design, Jane Trustram, also has an MA at London College of Communication. Jane's background in branding and typography has left her with an acute eye for detail.
Rayne Perry, President of University of the Arts London Curation Society
Rayne Perry grew up travelling around the world, living in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. In her education, she is major on criticism, communication and curation. The British background and Greater Middle East living experience has left her a unique aesthetics and spirit of art. She has been accustomed to new and far cultures, and specialising in both classy antique and contemporary arts.

Finally, it's about time to meet.
Sorry not replying or updating you any sooner, these days FORMOSA has been extremely busy on selecting, curating, organising, and promoting. And here are some update about what the exhibition progress.
1. Programming

2. Selection process
Now our external curators from jotta is still judging / selecting all of your submissions, and they estimate will finish the selection and announce
the result on Wednesday the 19th, latest on Friday the 21st this week.
After they release their result, we will inform individual of you, and to deliver the selection news, we will also update on our website, and facebook in sync. We are sorry for any inconvenience about the slow and long process.
3. Curation meeting at Candid Arts
Once we got the result from external curators, we would like to invite all our selected artists/designer to view the venue, and discuss about how to present your work at that unique space to meet your specific way of presenting works. Therefore, I'd like to sincerely invite those selected artists/designers coming to the Candid Arts Gallery, to view space and to discuss about practical part on curation at
12pm this Saturday the 22th May.
The notice is quite short and sudden, but we sincerely like to meet these selected young talents all together. So, before we announce the result, please leave this afternoon to us. However, if you're not in London, or any other reason makes you couldn't able to come gallery, then we might need a skype meeting after our discuss at Candid Arts Gallery this Saturday if that's applicable.
4. Exhibition Setting and un-install

13th, Jun, start removing after 3 pm, til 9 pm. remove everything before 9.

英國福爾摩沙企畫徵件 古又文 林鈺倫也報名

英國「Formosa 福爾摩沙」企畫推動的台灣藝術國際化，在五月開辦第一場「辦桌」展。活動籌資推動部門總裁嚴士育表示，目前收到超過40位設計師和藝術家約一百餘件作品，當中包含了倫敦藝術大學傑出的台灣學生林鈺倫與古又文等。
英國福爾摩沙企畫在今年開始一系列為台灣設計人籌備展覽活動，第一場即將在倫敦舉行，之後會篩選出優秀作品參加九月的倫敦設計週，力推台灣創作走入國際市場。這個企畫是在去年由一群在英國學藝術與設計的台灣人所發起，目標是在歐洲與全球推廣台灣的藝術與設計。福爾摩沙企畫連結英國藝術學校最大的台灣社群UALTWS，加上英國台僑的贊助，以推廣台灣本土文化為宗旨。將推出一系列的展覽、活動及講座，當中包括了即將舉行的「辦桌」聯展、九月份的福爾摩沙設計展以及計畫中的時裝展和視覺藝術聯展。
目前該企畫還在徵件中，只要具備台灣國籍，或是出身自台灣移民家庭的後代，以及有一定展覽經歷的藝術家，不限媒材，不限年齡全都歡迎。已報名的藝術作品部分已經在福爾摩沙網站公開，有興趣者可以先睹為快。http://www.theformosa.blogspot.com/

2008年倫敦的夏天，一群在英國留學的台灣設計師發起聯展──「Formosa Fantasia」，並參加了倫敦設計節。展覽中，這些設計師們將在英國的體驗加以挪移、錯置、融合、美化，並徹底解放了自己，完成一個個讓人莞爾一笑的設計作品。那年Formosa Fantasia得到了許多支持與熱烈的迴響。今年初夏，另一個概念團隊──FORMOSA，將踩在巨人的肩膀上，再次聯合台灣精銳藝術家與設計師們，在London Angel的Candid Arts展出第二波台灣藝術與設計聯展。
今年是2010年，FORMOSA不僅傳承前輩們的理念、延續過往精神，又推出更完整的宣傳報導、行銷、贊助、與記錄，同時追求更多元的作品與策展品質。以近兩個月的徵件時間，透過網路與各方宣傳、邀請，目前已經有20位視覺藝術家與 28位跨領域設計師加入，收到總計107件作品，作品包含：Painting, Installation、Illustration、Video Installation、Visual Communication、Industrial Design、Womenswear、Foot Wear、Jewellery、Accessory、Architectural Practice、Spatial Design等。在五月九號中午收件截止後，將立即由策展群與評審們進行選件，一旦結束將立即同步在官方網站、Email、Facebook等管道公佈結果。
這將是繼Formosa Fantasia 08’之後在倫敦最大的台灣新銳藝術家與設計師系列聯展，且六月份的展覽場地比過去在Bricklane的場地大上三倍。如果你還沒將作品寄給FORMOSA，請別錯過了這次聯展的機會，趕快將報名表與作品寄來，也請一起期待選件的結果公佈！
